The Philippines Tourism Board is using a gesture-based interactive kiosk as part of their “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign.
The interactive kiosk takes the user through a tour of the Philippines, showing real streets, beaches and towns. When visitors approach the kiosk they are prompted to engage with it by choosing either rock climbing or scuba diving. Each activity is a virtual experience which is activated using gesture-based controls. After participating in one of these activities, users receive a postcard featuring their action photo and are entered to win an iPad. They can also share the photo instantly on their social media profiles, and on the Philippines Tourism Board website.
This traveling kiosk is available for a limited time on in five different cities in North America over three months. For more information please see this press release.
