On February 10, 2014 Time Warner Cable opened their Flagship Store in New York City. Today the store had their grand opening ceremony.
Highlights of the day’s events include a custom cake by Buddy Valastro and Mauro Castano of TLC’s “Cake Boss” (pictured below), guest appearances by the New York Knicks, and the Minions from “Despicable Me 2”.
The new Flagship Store is the largest Time Warner Cable store in the country. It is located in New York’s Flatiron district, just two blocks away from its previous location.
Time Warner Cable started transitioning to the Experience Store model in 2013, with 17 previous locations. The goal is to help customers to enjoy a better experience with the products and services that Time Warner Cable delivers.
Customers in the store are provided with a hands-on environment to learn about Time Warner Cable’s service offerings. Customers can interact with the 90″ larger-than-life touchscreen (pictured above). They can learn more about Time Warner Cable’s exclusive apps, like home management and security through the IntelligentHome showcase (video below). They can also visit the demo bar, which features live product displays.
The mission of these stores is to provide exceptional customer service. The Flagship Store is 14,000 sq. feet, making it four times the size of any other location. It also has twice as many customer service employees as any other location. The store provides free WiFi and nine charging stations for mobile devices.
Customers are able to make the same transactions in the Flagship Store as they were in the previous New York City location.
The Time Warner Cable Flagship Store is located on 43 W 23rd Street New York, NY 10010.
