We sent Creative Director, Doug Hampton-Dowson and Project Manager, Jess Amenta to the opening day of the US Open.
While they were mainly there to support our friends at Time Warner Cable, they were able to enjoy the games and the different fan experiences made available by the event sponsors.
In addition to the experiences made available in Time Warner Cable Studios, there were many other interactive activities for event attendees.
In the picture below, Jess is posing for the 180 Rally Cam.
Doug participated in an interactive experience, where he was able to virtually train with tennis star, Sloane Stephens. Both of these experience were provided by American Express. Twitter users can share these digital souvenirs using #AmexTennis. They were also made to be instantly shared on Facebook and Google+.
Doug and Jess were also able to watch some of the game and they took some great pictures while they were there. Below is a picture of the stadium while a game is in progress.
The US Open isn’t as packed on opening day as it will be later in the two week event. By the finals the stadium seats will be far more full. Opening day was probably one of the best chances to get a great close-up shot like the one below.
The 2014 US Open takes place August 25 through September 8, at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows.
